The median price in 2011 was approximately -5% from the peak in 2008.
The average price in 2011 was aproximately -10.72% from the peak in 2008.
The number of single-family homes sold in Stow rebounded in 20011; only 2 less than during the peak in 2007; however it took longer for homes to sell; the average number of days on the market was 186 compared to 143 in 2007.
December 2011 sales data were mixed; while the number of homes sold was up - 11 compared with only 4 in December 2010; median and sale prices were less (see graph below) and it took longer to sell - 156 days up from 98 in December 2010.
There are currently 33 single family properties for sale in Stow; last year at this time there were 41. List prices range from $99,900 to $1,699,000. The current median price is $458,000; the average is $515,732.
Of the 33 for sale, 3 have accepted offers and are being shown for backup. Additionally, there are 9 properties with sales pending. People who are recognizing the excellent values in Stow are getting out there before the Spring rush when there will be more buyers competing for properties.
